Mission

Wish Upon a Book promotes child and teen literacy, with a focus on low-income students, through a series of creative projects across three US cities.

Book Club promotes literacy, harnesses the energy of the many existing young professional book clubs wanting to get involved in the community, provides informal mentoring to high school students, and makes reading fun for teens.

Holiday Book Drive promotes literacy, creates a sense of ownership and excitement around reading by giving students the books they want to read, supports teachers by stocking their classroom library, and provides students with a special gift during the holidays.

Stories for Students promotes literacy, supports teachers in the classroom, encourages reading of non-fiction books to prepare students for the roll-out of Common Standards, provides a sense of ownership of reading by giving books to children to keep at home, and makes reading fun for young students.
